Physicians Footcare, the southeast's premier podiatry practice, is thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Diane Ngamia Awa, DPM, to their team of expert care providers at their Sumter location.

Dr. Awa earned her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her podiatry medicine and surgery residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, MI. She is board-eligible by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) and brings extensive knowledge in biomechanics, orthopedics, dermatology, and surgery. With her background, Dr. Awa is well-equipped to diagnose and treat various conditions, including Achilles tendon injuries, foot fractures, and foot surgeries.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Awa's journey to becoming a podiatrist is an inspiring story of perseverance and dedication. Born and raised in Cameroon, Africa, she moved to the United States to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor, bringing a unique perspective and passion for patient care.
