We are currently hiring for Medical Office Back Assistants in multiple locations.
The Back Office Assistant is responsible for conducting basic clinical duties for providers to include CPeds. In this role, you bring patients back to the exam rooms, prepare the patient in the exam chair (socks and shoes removed), record vital signs, ask patients questions about their symptoms, concerns, medical history, and required MIPs history. Back office medical assistant ensure patient records are completed, maintained and organized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include but not limited to the following):
- Assist with efficient patient flow by keeping exam rooms full and assisting physicians as needed in order to expedite patient care.
- Assure examination rooms are clean and adequately stocked with appropriate supplies.
- Assist provider with triage, rooming and charting
- Prepare patient for exam
- Dispense Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to patients when applicable
- Update electronic medical records
- Maintain inventory and order medical supplies
- Assist CPeds as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
- Requires high school diploma or GED.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position as outlined above.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage positively with patients and families and to work as a team with staff and providers.
- Ability to use a computer to document required information into the electronic medical record.
