Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–5:00pm; Friday 7:30am–1:00pm
The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for conducting essential clinical duties for providers and CPeds. These duties help deliver expedited patient care and a positive patient experience.
- Maintain patient flow by monitoring exam room inventory and ensuring examination rooms are clean and adequately stocked.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and assist provider with triage.
- Chart critical information (medical history, vital signs, current symptoms, health concerns, and required MIP history).
- Prepare patients for exam (assist with sock/shoe removal if needed and ensure proper seating in the exam chair).
- Dispense Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to patients when applicable.
- Update electronic medical records to ensure completeness, maintenance, and organization.
- Assist CPeds as needed.
- Maintain office supply inventory and order medical supplies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform the essential functions listed above.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive engagement with patients and families; strong team player with all staff and providers.
- Computer proficiency to input information into the electronic medical record.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
